Leesa and Lee Gerald own LG2 Environmental Solutions, Inc. This DPC group member company is a successful woman owned SBA approved 8(a) disadvantaged business with 3 offices in Florida. The following is but one of a long list of projects you can read about on their website.
1. Government Agency Natural Resources and GIS Project - "Florida (Statewide) Army National Guard Facilities Project to Conduct a Threatened and Endangered Species Survey and GIS Database & Map Development"
LG2 Environmental Solutions, Inc. was contracted by the Florida Army National Guard to develop a comprehensive web-based GIS database of 60+ facilities across the state of Florida. As a basis for initial population of the database, a protected species survey was conducted on all facilities. Field collection include protected species habitat, GPS location of occurrences of protected species, GPS verification of key structures and on-site features, and panor-amic photographic points throughout each site. This data, as well as other in-house date (aerial photographs, soils maps, NWI maps, etc.) was used to populate the database. For each site, a linked web site was developed as a repository of all specific site information and documents including site surveys, engineering reports, compliance reports, archaeology surveys and data, storage tank reports, etc. Total LG2ES project cost-approximately $95,000.

EXAMPLE RESEARCH PROJECT: Advanced Environmental Solutions, Inc. (AES) Van Price, PhD GeoChemistry, is owner of this small Lexington, SC subsurface contamination investigation & remediation investigation & model application services company. AES supports chemical, radiation, & petroleum contamination subsurface or surface water investigations & research or model development or assessments. 1. Integrated Ground-Water Monitoring, for AES Client: US Nuclear Regulatory Commission/ RES/ DSARE/RPERWMB
Project supported NRC Integrated Monitoring Strategy research sup- port, showing relationships among various PA indicators & models to monitoring locations, timing, de- vices and measurements for radio- nucleides. Overview: The objective is to develop an integrated ground water monitoring strategy that supports confirmation of PA models, and addresses existing site characterization, compliance and detection monitoring needs, identify presence of contaminant plumes; test alternative conceptual flow and transport models; aid in the confirmation of the assumptions of the PA model, and hence the performance of the facility through increased confidence in the PA, and help identify/quantify uncertainties. AES examined collected data such as ground water monitoring of radionuclides to confirm use of PA models, and presented their research objectives at a conference on subsurface monitoring and modeling sponsored by the National Ground-Water Association. The tools and technical bases developed will emphasize relevancy to decommissioning & waste facilities project situations. Federal Agency Coordination: This research was coordinated with other Federal Agencies such as EPA and DOE. Above diagram shows project components.
